*COLT PRE-WAR SUPER 38 SEMI-AUTO PISTOL. Cal. 38 Super. Fine pre-war pistol, blued finish with 5” bbl, full checkered walnut grips and 2-tone magazine with usual markings on the base. This is possibly former FBI property. SN 4391. CONDITION: Very fine. Retains 95-97% strong bright original blue overall with slight muzzle and light edge wear. There are a couple of spots of pitting on the slide and another at the bottom of the front strap with some small pinpoints of scattered light rust elsewhere. Grips show light to moderate wear with a few chipped diamonds and a small mashed spot on the left grip. Bore is bright and shiny with some scuffing in the grooves. Magazine is very fine with some staining to the white area and fine rust on the base. A very nice scarce Colt. 4-48859 JR541 (1,500-2,500)
