ROBY MODEL 1860 CAVALRY SABER. 35-1/4” dbl fuller blade marked “C. ROBY / W.CHELMSFORD / MASS.” on the left ricasso and “U.S. / 1864 / A.G.M” on the right. CONDITION: Very good blade with scattered light surface rust. The guard is somewhat flattened. There are a number of chips to the leather covering on the grip along a lengthwise split. The twisted wire wrap is very loose. The iron scabbard shows signs of cleaning but some light pitting remains. 4-48606 FS166 (Lowry Estate) (600-900)
