FOUR MINIATURE PAINTINGS. Lot consists of two Persian paintings on bone, one showing a courtyard scene, the other depicting a courting couple. Each are painted on bone and housed in an ivory or bone frame. The other two are miniature Indian portraits of a nobleman and a woman, the man is dressed in a printed robe with matching turban and appears to be of importance. The lady is beautifully dressed and wearing a green shawl and a large pair of decorative earrings and what appears to be an ear cap on the top of the ear. SIZE: Large frames are 3-1/8″ x 4″. Portraits are 2″ x 2-1/2″. CONDITION: Portraits are very good to excellent. The paintings on bone are held in their frames with strapping tape. 5-65212 (300-500)
