BRONZE DANCER AFTER DEMETRE CHIPARUS. Lovely bronze sculpture depicts ballet dancer in tight leotard costume and hood dancing on her toes with arms spread. Dance costume is finished in green and gold patina with ivory or bone face, hands, torso and thighs. Bronze is mounted on a black onyx base with green onyx applied decoration. Signed on top back of base in script “Chiparus”. SIZE: 19″ t. CONDITION: Very good to excellent. Ivory hands appear to have been reglued. 5-61217 (1,000-1,500)
