CARLTON WARE MOONLIGHT CAMEO COVERED MUFFIN DISH. Outstanding Carlton ware muffin dish has orange lustre background with blue lustre cameos of dancing maidens, full moon and trees. Plate has two gold gilt butterflies subtly painted on the orange lustre ground. Domed cover has matching pattern except for the subtle butterfly decoration. Marked on the underside of the plate “Carlton Ware Made in England” with the crown and bird mark also “2946” and “0/1417”. Domed lid also carries “2946”. SIZE: 8-1/2” dia x 3” t. CONDITION: Tiny wear to gold at point of finial, otherwise very good to excellent. 5-63663 (500-1,000)
