MONUMENTAL DAUM VASE. Spectacular Daum vase features purple enameled irises in various stages of bloom. The lower half of the vase is decorated with exceptionally executed cameo and enamel foliage. Completing the vase is heavily applied gold enamel with outrageous Art Nouveau design of four grasshoppers and stylized forms. The background of the vase is a mottled frosted white to purple. Signed on the underside “Daum Nancy” with Cross of Lorraine. SIZE: 21-3/4” t. CONDITION: Very good to excellent with minor wear to gold gilt at bottom rim of vase. 5-62501 (9,000-12,000)
