PAPIER MACHE CLOWN CANDY CONTAINER. Circa 1920 Germany. A very cool clown toy who holds working papier accordion in hands. Candy container clown is dressed in red, white, and blue clothing with star design blue material for jacket. Beautiful polychrome paint with excellent facial detailing. Figure wears black top hat that removes to reveal candy enclosure. An Uncle Sam inspired appearance on this very attractive toy with a bonus feature of a hidden candy container! SIZE: 9″ t. CONDITION: Accordion works with great sound. Some cracks to papier mache head. Clothing has some fading. Toy remains overall good plus. 1-13490 (400-600)
