SALESMAN SAMPLE HAY RAKE. Outstanding sample hay rake with two large cast iron spoke wheels flanking a wooden framework containing a series of curved tines separated by turned double horned buffers. An added feature of this model is the fact that it is adjustable to different widths depending on the need. The last third of the tines flips up and the proper left wheel and seat slide inward for a smaller swath. Truly ingenious engineering. Seat platform sits between the yoke below which is a metal plaque engraved “P. Lebozelter, patented July 5th, 59, F. Leuthy, Maker Lan. Pa”. The hub of Amish country in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. SIZE: 18″ w (adjustable to 12″ w x 17″ l x 7″ h. CONDITION: Very good plus, possibly missing one curved tine and a set of buffers. Seat edges show some minor loss.
