ARCADE INTERNATIONAL HATHAWAY PANEL VAN. A classic 1930s Arcade toy featuring the International panel truck. Most commonly we see this as the Hathaway’s bread/cake delivery van, but they also utilized the same form without advertising and one could custom order their own individual company logos, such as United News or Peerless Laundry, etc. This truck is handsomely enameled in a gloss black and then framed out on the cab and van section in cream and green. Further highlighting this vehicle is the Hathaway advertising with graphics of children playing tug-of-war and the International decals on either door. Truck is trimmed with silver highlighting, yellow band, and yellow iron hubs covered by white rubber tires (replacements). Another feature of this vehicle was the opening rear door, which still retains its original Arcade decal. SIZE: 9-1/2″ l. CONDITION: Overall good to very good. Most notable wear along edge of roof. Still retains two original tires tucked away in storage compartment. 1-13098 (1,500-2,500)
