OPEN MOUTH JUMEAU BEBE. Sometimes referred to as the talking Jumeau, as body contains “mama/papa” mechanism (missing pull strings). This pretty bisque socket head incised “1907 10” and also with the remnants of a “Tete Jumeau” red stamp. She has blue glass eyes which are attached to a counter weight but have been replastered in a stationary position. The mouth is slightly open with six upper teeth and she is on her original fully jointed wood and composition body with an oval paper label on her torso reading “BEBE JUMEAU Diplome D’Honneur”. She has been appropriately recostumed and wears an antique brown human hair wig over replacement pate. Undergarments are antique and shoes are newer white leather replacements. SIZE: 23″ (58cm) t. CONDITION: Head is very good with some typical wear and occasional repainting to the body. 1-12525 (800-1,200)
