PATENT MODEL FLY TRAP. Patented Aug. 15, 1876 by Charles Olson, #181,197. Hand painted tin squat teapot shaped trap with handle in gold pinstriping. Marked “Charles Olson Red Wing, Minn” on side. Hand crank opens and closes louver top and moves internal sweeping arm. Covered spout leads to reservoir below. Accompanied by patent tag (puncture tear in center), receiving tag and Peterson tag. SIZE: 10-1/2″ l x 4-1/2″ h. CONDITION: Even paint chipping throughout, some wires detached from louver door. Otherwise generally good. 1-12143 (300-500)
