GOTTSCHALK RED ROOF DOLL HOUSE. Circa 1912. Lovely and appealing two story house including attic in green with red roof has interesting upper porch with Gottschalk’s typical pressed cardboard design railings, green center door flanked by two windows and oval attic window and unusual chimney that has been augmented by a whimsical papier mache stork in nest atop the chimney. Has a covered porch with green door flanked by three windows. Has faux painted windows on sides and basement window. Accompanied by set of removable steps for front porch. Front opens to reveal one large room with original Gottschalk papers. Upper balcony door opens to reveal attic room. House has been electrified. Marked in pencil “5155” on bottom. SIZE: 22″ h x 17″ w x 12″ d. CONDITION: Overall very good with some minor flaking and wear. Base of house appears to have been repainted early in its life and areas of roof appear to have paint enhancement. 1-12026 (800-1,200)
