AMERICAN PAINTED RAG DOLL. Commercially made painted rag doll with thumb shaped head, flat painted features on cloth body with similarly painted lower arms with mitten-type stitched hands. She is dressed in red cotton skirt with cream linen jacket with red edge trim and old leather boots and black knit stockings and printed cotton sun bonnet. Exact maker unknown; probably from early 20th Century, made in the style of Columbian rag dolls. SIZE: 19″ (48cm). CONDITION: Good with typical paint wear on face. 1-11428 (200-300)
