EARLY HAND PAINTED & LITHOGRAPHED CAROUSEL. Has a very unusual top, shaped more like a ball than the typical canopy that you normally see. The top supports five hand painted gondolas with lithographed figures sitting in boats. It also has four lithographed horse and riders that turn at the same time as the toy is in operation. SIZE: 15-1/2″ t. CONDITION: The bulbous top of the toy seems to be repainted as well as the flags on the gondolas. Base has chipping throughout, which is very typical of these early hand painted toys. Two of the wires holding the gondolas need to be resoldered. 1-11312 (400-600)
