SCHOENHUT TEDDY ROOSEVELT SAFARI “NATURALIST”. The Naturalist is dressed differently than the regular Safari members, being in a green cotton outfit, as opposed to a khaki cotton outfit. Several different mask faces were produced for a variety of members with such features as goatees, mustaches, heavy beards, etc. Unfortunately these early creations with the mask faces were particularly susceptible to paint loss, fatiguing, etc. depending upon how and when they were stored. This fellow has had some paint enhancement to his head. SIZE: 8″ t. CONDITION: Outfit at first glance appears to be original, but it is of our opinion that it is an aged replacement. 8-87673 (750-1,250)
