CLOCKWORK DOUBLE HORSE GIG BY GEORGE BROWN. A diminutive two horse gig as pictured in George Brown Toy Sketchbook on plate 9. A driver is perched on a trapezoidal dark blue gig enhanced with a multitude of gold stenciling which also encases the clockwork mechanism. SIZE: 6-3/4″ l. PROVENANCE: From the Collection of Malcolm Deisenroth, Jr. CONDITION: Overall good to very good. Appears to have some paint enhancement to white horses and quite possibly some minor touch up to figure. 1-10114 (1,800-2,500)
