LARGEST KENTON AUTOMOTIVE LADDER TRUCK. Kenton, as well as other toy manufacturers, produced fire trucks and this is believed to be the largest example produced by any toy company. Rarely found with all its original accessories from nickel plated front bumper to painted tin ladders and original painted tool chest. Enameled in red with gilt trim. Cast iron spoked wheels with simulated black/painted tires. Figures are painted in dark blue with either red or orange trim. Only a very few of these toys are known to exist in collectors’ hands. SIZE: 23-1/2″. CONDITION: Overall very fine plus with some chipping to ladders, figures and black tires. No apparent damage to castings, which is amazing due to the size of the toy. 1-9433 (1,500-2,500)
