MILLS BASEBALL SLOT MACHINE. Baseball being a most popular sport during the 1920s-30s, this machine allowed two players to compete against the other. The various symbols on the reel strips from strike out, to double, to home run, allowed the players to keep score and move their figures about on the playing field on the front of the machine. The vendor mechanism dispensing mints and the fact that they were supposedly playing a game allowed the players to circumvent the gambling laws of the day. Machine has been restored several years ago and the lithographed tin playing field has been enhanced. This machine appeals not only to coin-op collectors, but also collectors of baseball memorabilia. SIZE: 16″ w x 16″ d. x 23″ h. CONDITION: Overall very fine plus. 1-8951 JL (5,500-7,500)
