25¢ MILLS “BURSTING CHERRY” SLOT MACHINE. Expertly restored 1930s-1940s slot machine that has bonus features such as skills stops and “Melon Bell Award”. The skills stops gave the illusion that perhaps the prospective player was able to control the three reels. The “Melon Bell Award” was a visible award locked in the front casting and would be released if the prospective player got a watermelon the first, second and third reel strips. Sometimes it was filled with coins, or perhaps a watch, or perhaps paper money such as a ten-dollar bill. This feature certainly would drawn in the prospective player and entice him into spending countless coins trying to attain this award. Machine comes with a finely crafted oak stand with polished aluminum legs and owl adorning front door. SIZE: 16″ w x 16″ d x 23″ h.
