RARE FOX PROTO PAN HANDLE GAS POWERED RACER.

RARE FOX PROTO PAN HANDLE GAS POWERED RACER. Circa 1950s. Features proper Fox gear box and 1234 gears. Powered by an 8-fin Dooling .61 gas engine with a fixed jet carb. The engine was completely rebuilt by Bill Pistoll in the early 1980s when the car was restored to its original state. The front axle is an air foiled Fairabend style and the rear axle is Dooling. The car is fitted with a Kuebler tank and has new old stock McCoy tires. The aerodynamic car has a custom wood top painted dark blue with hand-rubbed lacquer. The flywheel and coupler are chromed. SIZE: 18″ l. CONDITION: Missing couple rivets that hold body to chassis and footstep cover, couple minor chips, otherwise near excellent. 1-7635 (2,000-3,500)
