17″, (43 CM), GERMAN BISQUE FASHION LADY. Closed mouth solid dome bisque head shoulder head doll with head turned slightly to the right, incised “GK” She has blue glass stationary eyes, closed mouth, pierced ears, with a naïve smiling expression. She is on an all-leather body with gussets on the elbows, hips, and knees. She has been well re-costumed in a two-piece walking suit of burgundy taffeta with a jacket trimmed in black braid, and wearing antique undergarments, black cotton stocking, but lacking shoes. The wig is of a black synthetic material in Edwardian ladies’ style, and is covered by an antique felt hat with cloth flower decoration. CONDITION: Minor eye flake on lower left eye socket, faint hairline crack on right side of shoulder plate. 1-7527 RS (300-500)
