AMERICAN FLYER STANDARD GAUGE STEAM PASSENGER TRAIN. 1) Locomotive #4680 has a wheel arrangement of 4-4-2 in gloss black with a green stripe. It is mostly complete and one side is marked “Adams” with a plate and the other side is marked “American Flyer”. It has had a few minor touchups. 2) The tender is #4693 and is an oil type tender in black with gray trucks having some minor scratches. 3) Gondola car #4017 is green with gray trucks; one or two minor chips on either side; otherwise very nice. 4) The tanker #4010 is yellow with a blue frame; is dirty but will clean up nice. Overall paint is very nice. 5) Caboose #4021 is in dark red with maroon roof; there are two hand rails missing; one or two minor aggravations in the paint. 6) Machinery car has miscellaneous scrapes and scratches. CONDITION: The locomotive #4680 has one drive rod ring missing but otherwise is in very good condition. The tender #4693 is in very good to excellent condition. Caboose #4021 is dirty but near excellent. Machinery car rates fair. American Flyer sets like this are very hard to find in this good condition and this is a great set. EC 1-6474 (600-900)
