LARGE STONE LITHOGRAPH STEAMSHIP PRINT. Grand four-stack ship with other steamships and boats in the distance over rough waters and under scattered clouds. The upper right corner has a shield indicating the birth and death of four nobles: Lord Nelson, Admiral Robert Blake, Governor Arthur Phillip, and Lord Rodney with dates ranging from 1527 to 1814. The litho is signed Chas. Pears and the bottom banner reads “Innavigable (Master Robert Thorne, 1527.” Printed for H.M. Stationery Office by John Waddington Ltd., Leeds & London, and issued by the Empire Marketing Board. SIZE: 65-1/4” w x 45” h. CONDITION: Lightly fade, has various insubstantial vertical fold lines and some minor wrinkles and tears in lower right. Small 1/2” puncture in lower center of water, otherwise good to very good.
