One of America’s preeminent illustrators, Brunner was well known for his Saturday Evening Post covers and WWII Red Cross posters, but also painted illustrations for Coca-Cola, Kellogg’s and Canada Dry as well. This painting captures a lighthearted wartime moment between a corporal and his trusting handlebar-saddled date, believed to have been used in a Royal Crown Cola advertisement.
