15 1/2” GAULTIER BEBE INCISED “F 5 G”. With luminous blue paperweight eyes, feathered eyebrows, well painted upper and lower lashes, pierced ears. On fully articulated wood and composition body which is proportional to the doll but of a slightly later vintage than the head. Appropriately redressed in a teal velvet dress with black velvet trim, antique white cotton undergarments, later white cotton socks and ivory colored oilcloth shoes. A honey colored human hair wig stamped “3” and a cloth tag declaring “MADE IN FRANCE” over a cork pate is topped with a semi-modern pink straw hat decorated with antique lace, trim, and feathers. CONDITION: Good quality bisque, near excellent body from the SFBJ period with original finish. RS 1-3566 (2,200-3,000)
