ALTHOF BERGMANN GOAT BELL TOY. Bob considered this to be his finest bell toy. An amazing clockwork gig with a black and a white goat. The bell assembly between the two goats. When wound the toy would roll along the floor, the goats , due to the eccentric wheel mechanism, would gallop while the bell would ring. The oversized driver, dressed in period clothing, sits atop the gig with a clear view ahead. Unseen on other tin gigs, this particular example has a fancily embossed gallery around the seat & a tin extension (luggage rack) extending from rear of cart. Gaily painted with gold stenciling. SIZE: 18” l. CONDITION: Overall very good. Black light inspection reveals no repairs or paint touch up. JL 1-4082 (20,000-25,000)
