“DRUMMER BOY” BELL TOY. Attributed to J. & E. Stevens Co. A climactic toy that can stand alone even if one is not a toy collector. A uniformed soldier strikes the bell with drumsticks using his right and left hands. The embellished base has a blooming rose beneath the drum (bell) & cornucopias framing the words “DRUMMER BOY” directly behind the drummer. Leading the way at the tip of the bell toy is an eagle about to take flight. The Stevens Co. used exemplary colors in polychroming this bell toy. SIZE: 10”. CONDITION: Overall condition is very good, eagle on front appears to be repainted.
