“THE BOY SCOUT” BELL TOY. Manufactured by The Gong Bell Co. An extremely rare bell toy (1 of 2 known) of a Boy Scout dressed in regulation scout uniform of the time with an extended pole which would have had a paper American Flag attached. Upon close inspection, the cast iron base is composed of a fanciful casting of simulated branches with crossed muskets at the Scout’s feet. SIZE: 7”. CONDITION: Silver paint on base and figure’s face both show oxidation. Scout’s yellow uniform is in fine paint. JL 1-4102 (3,000-4,000)
