SCARCE COMMUNITIVE KESSLINE SAFE. This communitive Kessline key-lock safe dates from the late 19th Century and retains its original painted decoration, trimmed in red and gold and with a gold decorative sketching on the front door. The hinges, sketching, and handle are all nickel. Originally came from a ranch near Ouray, Colorado. A number of old canceled checks from the early 1900’s from just after the turn of the century are still in the safe. Includes key. SIZE: 14” h. x 8-1/2” d. x 9-1/2” w. CONDITION: Original paint with scattered chipping of paint noted along the raised ribs and edges near ribs. A hard-to-find size. A neat old antique hard to find safe. 1-1878 (1,250-2,250)
