FINE CARVED SOAPSTONE BRUSH POT. Chinese, late Qing Dynasty. Nice example finely carved with figures in a mountainous landscape. Stone of a pale celadon hue with marbleized red bloodstone tones. Together with a hardwood stand. SIZE: 7″ h x 6-1/4″ dia. PROVENANCE: From the private collection of the grand-niece of the last Emperor Puyi of the Qing Dynasty and granddaughter of crown Prince Pujun. CONDITION: Tiny rim chip.
