TWO MEISSEN ALLEGORICAL FIGURES. 18th – 19th century. German. Depicting two of the four seasons, Spring and Fall. Incised “24” + “A 67”. Impressed mark “116” + “49”. Fall painted in blue “81”. Crossed swords on each in underglaze blue. SIZE: Spring 5″ h. Fall 5-1/4″ h. PROVENANCE: From a fine New Jersey home. CONDITION: Spring has restored right hand. Fall has a loss of little finger right hand with flecks to tips of wheat. Otherwise both good. 9-24511 (700-900)
