RARE MARINE TRANSFER PUMP. 19th century. American. Brass, copper and iron pump mounted on carriage with handles and two wheels. Pump housing casts with the maker’s name “BELLEVILLE”. Pump operates manually with large lever, original purpose of which to transfer potable water from holding tanks aboard large sailing ships. SIZE: 4′ h x 4′ 6″ l x 1′ 2″ w.
