FINE NEW ENGLAND MINIATURE PAINT DECORATED BLANKET CHEST WITH LIDDED TILL. First half 19th century, possibly Massachusetts. Rectangular hinged lid with applied molded edges fitted to the conforming case with till, sides continuing to boot jack ends. In original red wash, decorated with mustard and dark brown leafy sprays. Interior of lid marked “Clark Brown/Bolton” in script. SIZE: 7-1/4″ h x 11-3/4″ l x 7″ d. CONDITION: As noted with original painted surfaces intact. Lid hinges absent.
