LOUIS EDWARD JONES (American, 1878-) “AMONG RUGGED MOUNTAINS IN THE SMOKIES”. Oil on board western scene shows two large blue mountains with foreground stream, rocks, and woods. All under a blue & white cloud sky. Signed lower left “L.E. Jones 1944″. On reverse in what appears to be the artist’s handwriting is the title, name, and date. Housed in a simple gilt wood frame.
