FINE ENGLISH VICTORIAN ROSEWOOD SUNDERLAND TABLE. Mid 19th century. The rectangular hinged leaves with matched bookend figured veneers joined to a central barrel cylinder, each side with a pair of Y-form support gates. The central rectangular pedestal with in-curved sides on an ogee molded plinth joined to a platform continuing to four outswept shaped feet. SIZE: 28-3/4″ h x 36-1/2″ l x 15-1/2″ w (closed);Top Open: 35-1/2″ x 36″. PROVENANCE: Descended through the family of Shepherd Brooks, Boston, MA. & Medford, MA. CONDITION: With original surfaces, rich brown color and good patina. Damage to cap on one end of cylinder and with veneer losses to all four legs.
