COMB-BACK WINDSOR ROCKING CHAIR WITH ARMS. Late 18th early 19th century. The shaped comb raised on four spindles, joined to the rod back of eight spindles. The simulated bamboo stiles joined to shaped conforming arms. The shaped walnut saddle seat raised on simulated bamboo splayed legs joined by an H-form stretcher all with incised line decorations. The whole raised on original shaped rockers. SIZE: 39-3/4″ h (back); 17″ h (seat). CONDITION: Chair retains original old surfaces with nice patina with some old repairs notable to proper left top of stile and to proper left runner. Otherwise very good. 9-21910 (300-400)
