CAT PINCUSHION CLOTHES BRUSH TOGETHER WITH A MANTEL BIRD IN THE MANNER OF A. E. CROWELL. 1st half, 20th century. The pincushion in the form of a cat with curled tail, a ribbon tied at its neck, the base joined to a bristle brush. The small painted mantel bird mounted on a dome with a pencil inscription in script, “A. E. CROWELL/CAPE COD/MASS./#30”. SIZE: (cat) 7-3/4″ l; (bird) 3-1/2″ h x 4-3/4″ l. CONDITION: The velvet skin of the pincushion with wear, colors faded. The bird with original paint with losses due to chafing above beak between eyes. 9-22922 (150-250)
