FEDERAL GILT DECORATED CONVEX MIRROR. First quarter 19th century. Circular convex mirror plate in reeded ebony slip. Concave molded frame mounted with 18 spherules, surmounted by displayed eagle and with a pendant apron in shape of stylized fan. SIZE: 41″ h x 25-1/2″ w. CONDITION: Retains original mirror plate and backboards. Gilding has been redone as has ebony slip. Eagle’s head has become loosened at seam. Otherwise good. 9-23504 (800-1,200)
