CARVED AND PAINT DECORATED SMALL PENGUIN ATTRIBUTED TO CHARLES HART, GLOUCESTER, MA. Early 20th century. This decorative example with attached wings and feet and exaggerated beak with red highlights beneath. A similar example sold by Guyette & Schmitt, April 26 & 27, 2007 in St. Charles, Illinois. SIZE: 5-3/4″ h. CONDITION: Structurally very good with original painted surfaces. Rubbing to tip of beak and small paint loss to scarlet area of left breast.
