CONTINENTAL BAROQUE THREE DRAWER WALNUT COMMODE. 18th century, possibly Italian. Rectangular top with molded edge and rounded corners above the conforming case fitted with three long drawers, each with applied raised molded and shaped panels, the center most of quatrefoil design. With matching cast brass bails and escutcheons. Molded pilasters continuing to shaped ram’s horn feet. The case sides each with a pair of recessed molded panels. SIZE: 35″ h x 49-1/2″ l x 25-1/2″ d. CONDITION: Case with professional restoration throughout. Reproduction brass hardware faithful to original design. Front legs later replacements. Otherwise good. 9-22769 (6,000-9,000)
