MAHOGANY BRASS BOUND CAMPAIGN CHEST AND DESK. First quarter 19th century. The rectangular brass bound case fitted with three aligned cockbeaded short drawers over a central drawer with hinged drop lid, baize-lined; the interior fitted with a central door flanked by banks of three drawers over two valanced cubbies. Flanked by deep bottle drawers over three long drawers. All fitted with campaign style recessed brass hardware. The recessed end panels each mounted with carrying handles. The whole on ring-turned suppressed ball feet. SIZE: 46-1/2″ h x 49″ l x 23″ d. CONDITION: Structurally very good with minimal shrinkage cracks in top and some crossbanded veneer losses above desk unit. 9-21831 (2,500-3,500)
