JACQUES-CHARLES OUDRY (French, 1720 – 1778) FAMILY OF HARES. Early oil on canvas woodland scene shows a group of five gray and white rabbits on a dirt,grass and flower woodland floor. Signed lower left and dated 1769. Housed in a fine gilt gesso decorated frame. SIZE: 21-1/2″ x 29-3/4″. CONDITION: Relined with a few patches to canvas, inpainting and restored. Very good 9-22234 (6,500-8,500)
