TWO CHINESE SAUCE TUREENS WITH UNDERTRAYS. Late 19th century. First, a Famille Rose example, with reserves of courtly scenes alternating with reserves of birds and flowers, gilt decorated overall. Second, a rectangular tureen, with berry knop and cow head handles with conforming undertray. Polychrome decorated overall with flower heads, birds and shrubs. SIZE: 1) 6″ h overall x 8″ l. 2) 4″ h overall x 7-1/2″ l. PROVENANCE: From the private collection of Dorothy-Lee Jones. CONDITION: First with slight roughness to edge of saucer, otherwise very good. Second with roughness to handle snout, otherwise very good. 9-23285 (500-700)
