WALLACE NUTTING FAN-BACK WINDSOR, HIGH DESK CHAIR. Circa 1930. This branded example of Nutting’s model #41 high brace-back Windsor chair, item # 326 in the Wallace Nutting supreme edition general catalog p. 85. Beneath the chair seat is the original paper label affixed above the brand. The arched crestrail with scrolling ears joined to eight swelled swindles continuing the shaped saddle seat raised on elongated splayed baluster-turned legs all joined by a conforming H-form stretcher. SIZE: Back 45″ h, seat 21-1/2″ h. CONDITION: Structurally very good with original surfaces, paper label legible but showing wear. A small splice out of center of crestrail. 9-20063 (500-750)
