LARGE SHIP MODEL OF AN AMERICAN CLIPPER SHIP. Circa 1900. The square rigged model with planked deck, full body figurehead and aft deckhouse. Painted all in black. The working rudder with copper strapping. Fully rigged without sails, the models cradle with plaque reading “CAPT. THOS. ROSENKVIST/ SHIP MODELS/ ROCKAWAY BEACH, N.Y.” SIZE: model h. 35″ Overall h. 38″ l. of model 51″ CONDITION: Painted surfaces with craquelure with oxidized losses to figure head and to gold paint below waterline.
