FINE HALF HULL MODEL OF THE BARK “NEAPOLITAN”. This nine lift model half hull mounted on a walnut board depicted with bowsprit, rudder and gunwale rail beneath which in white painted lettering is the name of the ship “Neapolitan”. This ship, built at Kingston in 1856, was captured and burned in the Straits of Gibraltar by the Confederate Raider Sumter January 1862. See page 106 in “From the ‘Ships of Kingston'” by Henry M.
