2 LARGE REDWARE SLIP-DECORATED LOAF DISHES. 19th century, Pennsylvania or Virginia. The larger with central 3-line “bacon” yellow slip decoration, the border with “corn silk” yellow slip decoration and coggled rim. The smaller example with three rows of “bacon” yellow slip decoration and coggled rim. SIZE: Larger: 2-1/2″ h. x 17″ l. x 11-1/2″ w. Smaller: 2-1/2″ h. x 13-1/2″ l. x 9-3/4″ w. CONDITION: Both with nice medium brown color and strong slip, both with chipping on coggled rim. The smaller with wear in center and some craquelure. 9-99761 (1,500-2,000)
