GABOR F. PETERDI (American, 1915-2001) “NORFOLK X”. Large oil on canvas impressionistic scene shows a colorful landscape using small paint strokes in shaped patterns. Signed lower right and dated “63”. Also signed, dated “1963” and titled on reverse. Peterdi worked in Connecticut and this possibly could be a series of landscapes which he performed in the Norfolk, CT region. Housed in a magnificent shell decorated gilt frame with white and gilt liner. SIZE: 30″ x 36″. CONDITION: Very good. 9-98503 (4,000-6,000)
