MARGUERITE STUBER PEARSON (American, 1898-1978) STUDYING THE SCORE. Large oil on canvas interior scene shows a young woman in elegant blue gown. She sits in front of an antique melodeon and holds up a music score in front of her. The room is finely furnished including a birdcage on floor stand in brass, a painted room screen, a large Oriental blue vase with pink tree blossoms, window having print flower curtains and there is a think built-in doorway curio shelf with curios. Signed bottom right. Housed in a partial gilt and carved frame with painted liner. A fine example of this artist’s works. SIZE: 30″ x 36″. CONDITION: Very good. 9-98894 (8,000-12,000)
