RALPH GOUT TRIPLE CASE VERGE FUSEE POCKET WATCH. London, late 18th century. This gold-tone timepiece with enameled dial marked “Ralph Gout/London“. The dial painted with floral sprays and Ottoman numerals and sub-numerals. Mounted in a hinged triple case. The ornate brass works engraved in script “Ralph Gout 740 London”. SIZE: Diameter of dial 1 3/4″. Diameter of largest case 3″. CONDITION: The triple case showing wear to all surfaces. The enamel dial with chipping around edges. The hands with losses to tips. The mechanism appears clean and intact not verified as running. Winding key absent. Good overall. 9-97399 (3,500-4,500)
